Press F12 on any symbol to jump to its definition. In F#, the F# compiler resolves it across files: here, a union case declared in another file.
In C#, Roslyn does the same, from the program straight into the checkout pipeline.
Shift F12 finds every reference across the solution, in a peek window you can browse without losing your place.
It works for the framework too. F12 on JsonSerializer opens its source, decompiled from the assembly.
